TOIEC Test
People who work or want to work for a large organization, multinational company or government agency take the TOIEC exam to prove their proficiency in English. The scores below show these levels.
- 905 – 990 International Proficiency
- 785 – 900 Working Proficiency Plus
- 605 – 780 Limited Working Proficiency
- 405 – 600 Elementary Proficiency Plus
- 255 – 400 Elementary Proficiency
- 185 – 250 Memorised Proficiency
- 10 – 180 No Useful Proficiency
The exam format is multiple choice, takes approximately two hours and is done in written form, has two separate sections with a hundred questions each, providing 45 min and 75 min each, followed by the part of biographical questions whit a duration of 30 min. The questions are based on a series of real-life situations, such as corporate and product development, research, having dinner or lunch in a restaurant, booking travel, entertainment and theater shows, museums as well as the financial business, health care, human resources, manufacturing, administrative positions, purchasing and technical areas.
The evaluation will be determined on base on the number of correct answers, and converted to a scaled score, summarizing the total score is obtained by summing the scaled scores.
